Coro de Huérfanos - Teatro KTO / Chór Sierot - Teatr KTO

Humo y naranjas. El espectáculo sabe y suena. Casi se puede tocar, si no fuera por lo espeluznante de algunas cosas allí cantadas, que comprimen y retraen tacto y aliento. Coro de huérfanos es una representación, sin palabras, pero con todo el movimiento y ruido de la vida en un orfanato, desde la llegada a él de un grupo de niños y niñas hasta su posible muerte en él o su abandono. Vemos las relaciones entre los huérfanos, entre la diversión y la maldad; y las relaciones con las dos mujeres encargadas de la disciplina y la educación en el mismo, entre el abuso sexual y el maltrato físico y psicológico. Todo con miradas ilusionadas, guiños al juego, ganas de divertirse como parte de la vida.

Denuncia y aviso. Tal vez lo más significativo sea la constatación: a uno y otro lado del escenario (al entrar se nos da a elegir entre dos puertas, que van a parar a uno u otro lado del mismo), somos testigos de los hechos, intensificados con la música, aislados por el movimiento colectivo.

Coro de huérfanos en definitiva es un auténtico coro de cuerpos que cuenta lo que todavía ocurre en algunos orfanatos, pero también lo que todavía esconden algunas formas de orden y disciplinas. La obra está dirigida por Jerzy Zoń que, aguardando en la puerta del teatro TKO, con traje y maletín, posiblemente director del orfanato, no solo nos guiaba hacia el interior, acomodándonos y ubicándonos, sino que iniciaba el juego teatral, preparando así al público a una escucha activa y participativa.

Smoke and oranges. The show tastes and sounds. You can almost touch, if it were not so creepy sung some things there, that compress and retract the touch and breath. Chorus of Orphans is a performance without words, but with all the movement and noise of life in an orphanage, from the arrival of a group of children to their possible death or their abandonment. We see the relationship between the orphans, between fun and evil; and relations with the two women in charge of discipline and education in it, between sexual abuse and physical and psychological abuse. All with hopeful eyes, nods to the game, wanting to have fun as part of life.

Complaint and notice. Perhaps most significant is the fact: on either side of the stage (to enter is given a choice between two doors, which goes to either side of it), we are witnesses to the events, intensified with the music, isolated by the collective movement.

Chorus of Orphans is definitely a real chorus of bodies consider what still occurs in some orphanages, but also what still hide some order forms and disciplines. The play is directed by Jerzy Zoń, who was waiting at the door of the theater TKO, suit and briefcase, possibly head of the orphanage, which not only leads us inward, settling and placing us, but he begins the theatrical game and preparing the public to listen active and participatory.
